Minister JK (Jung-Kwan) Kim of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources (MOTIR) met with Russell Vought, Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), in Washington, D.C., on May 7, 2026.
Minister Kim requested OMB’s support for Korea’s efforts to advance the MASGA project, and the two sides exchanged views on strengthening Korea–U.S. shipbuilding cooperation.
