Gwangju Future Mobility MINI Alliance Roundtable

Minister JK Kim of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources (MOTIR) attended the Gwangju Future Mobility MINI Alliance Roundtable at the Kimdaejung Convention Center in Gwangju on June 30, 2026.
The roundtable was attended by Lee Cheon-hwan, Chair of the Gwangju Future Mobility MINI Alliance; local governments; automakers; suppliers; AI companies; universities; and research institutes. Participants discussed plans to develop an M.AX cluster to strengthen future mobility competitiveness.
Minister Kim said M.AX has become essential to industrial survival as AI reshapes industry, and that competitiveness in the automobile industry depends on innovation across the value chain.
