Signing Ceremony for the Korea-Germany Economic and High-Tech Partnership Framework

Minister JK (Jung-Kwan) Kim of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources (MOTIR) signed the Joint Declaration of Intent on a Framework for an Economic and High-Tech Partnership between Korea and Germany with Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy in Seoul on October 30, 2026.
He also witnessed the signing of nine memoranda of understanding (MOUs) between Korean and German companies and institutions.
Minister Kim said the partnership would broaden bilateral cooperation beyond trade and investment to include economic security and advanced industries. He added that Korea would further strengthen its role as a base for German and other European companies entering the Indo-Pacific region.
